What's on in August - Brisbane
This is the month known for the Ekka, dagwood dogs, strawberry sundaes and crisp air. There is also so much more to experience and enjoy in Fortitude Valley and its surrounds over the month.
What's on in August:
7th - 15th: Royal Queensland Show - Ekka
The Brisbane Ekka is definitely worth a visit and suitable for all ages. From animal nurseries, sheep shearing, wood chopping, bars, food stalls, night and daytime entertainment, and of course rides and show bags.
14th: Free event - The Hidden Lanes Festival
The Hidden Lanes Festival is returning for its third year, celebrating the unique fashion, art, food, music and entertainment of The Lanes, Fortitude Valley. The festival takes over four laneways - Winn, Bakery, California and Lucky Lane plus The Zoo, Laruche, Suzie Wongs and Uh Oh Spaghetti-O.
16th July - 8th August: Brisbane Powerhouse - Comedy Festival
If you missed the start of the comedy festival in July never fear as it is still running until the 8th of August with plenty of performances to choose from.
