Understanding the female corporate traveller

The female corporate traveller is a significant portion of hotel guests around the globe and as such we have always strived to ensure their needs are catered for.   Three main areas of focus with the solo female corporate traveller in mind are:

1. Safety and Security
2. Hotel amenities
3. In-room dining

Our hotel is a secure building and something we pride ourselves on. Only registered hotel guests are allowed above the ground floor and any external contractors or trades must be registered at reception on arrival.  The hotel also enforces a no party policy.   We have zero tolerance for disruptive and antisocial behaviour as our hotel guests comfort, safety and enjoyment are paramount.  Female travellers will also take comfort in knowing swipe access is required for our hotel lifts and also room access.  Every guest only has access to their floor, their room and hotel common areas.

We understand the female traveller will often pack additional amenities.  Things such as hair dryers, hair straighteners can make a difference between carrying on luggage or having to check-in luggage. Acknowledging this, Alex Perry Hotel & Apartments was the first hotel (2015) to introduce high-end quality ghd hairdryers and *straighteners for guest enjoyment.   Since the introduction of these amenities, we have seen other hoteliers follow suit and who could blame them.   This gave the female traveller confidence to leave those additional items at home knowing they had a high end and quality amenities in their home away from home.

The 'Girlfriends Handbag' is another service we introduced with the female traveller in mind.  Often there is much to arrange before a business trip and some convenience items can often be left at home only to be discovered on arrival.  To assist with everyday items and ensuring our female guests don't have to venture far we house items such as, but not limited to:

• Hosiery
• Sanitary items
• Hand sanitiser
• Deodorant
• OPI nail polish
• Bobby pins

Although we don't operate a restaurant, we have partnered with neighbouring cafes and restaurants to provide chargeback options for our guests.  We understand that females travelling alone often prefer to dine in-room rather than go out of an evening on their own.   With safety and convenience in mind, they can instead choose from a variety of external operators to have their meals delivered and dine in the comfort of their room.

We understand that all travellers have their own requirements and hope that our operational procedures, services and amenities are viewed as a valuable and enjoyable part of their business stay.
